SB 436 Probate Courts; general provisions; change and modernize

Voted on Thursday March 15, 2018

Michael Caldwell's thoughts

This legislation is a product of the Probate Court Judge's Council and their efforts to codify current practices. It deals with updating new judge orientation, raising the bond amount for probate judges to $100,000 (from 25k) and clarifies that a named assistant probate judge will become probate judge in case of vacancy.
