SB 427 Child Support in Final Verdict or Decree; court’s discretion in making a final determination of support; provisions; change

Voted on Tuesday March 27, 2018

Michael Caldwell's thoughts

This legislation will bring Georgia into compliance with federal regulation pertaining to state administered child support programs. It will provide that a court's determination of child support shall take into account the owing-parent's earnings, income, ability to pay, and the basic subsistence needs of the parents and the child for whom support is to be provided.
