SB 25 Rules of the Road; when driver of a vehicle need not stop upon meeting or passing a school bus; clarify

Voted on Wednesday February 13, 2019

Michael Caldwell's thoughts

This legislation clarifies a mixup in a previous bill that made it unclear whether or not drivers driving the opposite direction of a stopped school bus needed to stop. This bill clarifies that unless a physical barrier (grass median, concrete barrier, etc.) exists between the lanes, a driver must stop for a stopped school bus.
