HR 164 General Assembly; dedication of revenues derived from fees or taxes to the public purpose for which such fees or taxes were imposed; authorize – CA

Voted on Wednesday February 20, 2019

Michael Caldwell's thoughts

This proposed constitutional amendment would allow the General Assembly to dedicate fee funds to specific purposes (rather than the current structure which feeds all fees into the general fund regardless of their stated purpose).
Passed last year as HR 158 but did not make it through the Senate.
