HB 42 Elections; election superintendents to correct mistakes and omissions on ballots for a primary or election; authorize

Voted on Tuesday February 14, 2017

Michael Caldwell's thoughts

Under current law, the only way to correct an error on a ballot is for a citizen to file a lawsuit against the elections supervisor and for a Judge to issue a court order to resolve it. This legislation would allow for an election superintendent to correct such mistakes.
