This legislation comprises the FY 2019 (covering July 1 2019 to June 30 2020). This represents a $1.05 Billion growth over the prior year (3.95%). Roughly 55% of the budget goes toward education and it includes a $2,775 pay raise for certified teachers and certified education personnel. This is the largest teacher pay increase in Georgia history.

The budget is comprised of roughly $27.5 Billion in state funds, and $53 Billion in total funds.
