HB 265 Income tax; credit for establishing or relocating quality jobs; revise provisions

Voted on Monday February 27, 2017

Michael Caldwell's thoughts

This legislation amends the income tax credit program for new quality jobs (defined as at least a $2.5m investment in Georgia). Currently companies are required to get 50 employees into GA within 12 months.
It also provides a sales use tax exemption for materials used in the renovation of a theater located within a 501c3 facility that contains an art museum, symphonic hall and theater. Its targeted at the Alliance Theater in Atlanta.
