HB 234 Anti-Human Trafficking Protective Response Act; enact

Voted on Monday March 4, 2019

Michael Caldwell's thoughts

This legislation would allow DFCS to provide emergency care for a child human trafficking victim for labor and sexual servitude w/o a court order. It would also allow DFCS to take the child to a certified victim services organization to provide trauma-informed services and limit the prosecution of individuals for prostitution to those individuals over the age of 18.
