HB 233 Pharmacy Anti-Steering and Transparency Act; enact

Voted on Monday March 4, 2019

Michael Caldwell's thoughts

This bill is necessary because a conflict of interest exists when certain investors are steering patients to pharmacies in which they hold an ownership interest. This legislation would restrict pharmacies licensed in Georgia from sharing records containing patient or prescriber identifiable data to or from an affiliate for any commercial purpose.
