HB 148 Educating Children of Military Families Act; enact

Voted on Friday February 24, 2017

Michael Caldwell's thoughts

This legislation allows the state Department of Education to create unique identifiers for students whose parents are active duty military or national guardsmen. This way we can track them, their educational needs, and better serve our military families. The federal DOE already does this, but the state is flying blind with regard to this data.
