[2nd Time] HB 196 Income tax; exemption for royalties paid to musical artists; provide

Voted on Friday March 3, 2017

Michael Caldwell's thoughts

Second time tonight. Still not good.
This legislation would exempt music artists from income tax on the royalties of their music. A large part of the argument is that where these musicians live is where the jobs will go. How can we argue that without arguing to exempt all CEO's or any other job creator from their taxes? This argument is a slippery slope... Heck, a slippery 90 degree drop off.
